Everyone who signs in has exactly one role, and the role decides which areas of Insight Notes they can reach at all. Inside an area, a clinician's access scope narrows it further — see below.

How much of the caseload a clinician sees
Reaching the Clients area is not the same as seeing every client in it. A clinician also has an access scope, set per person under Team:
- Their own clients — sees only their own caseload.
- Their own clients, including billing — sees only their own caseload.
- The full client list — sees every client in the practice.
- The entire practice — sees every client in the practice.
What no role reaches
Two things sit outside this table entirely. A psychotherapy note is visible only to the clinician who wrote it — not to a supervisor, and not to the Owner. And a restricted client is visible only to the Owner and to that client's own clinician, wherever they would otherwise be named: the roster, the calendar, the claims list, every report, and the API.
